We Need Your Help.

We completed the construction of the Hanoi Hilton Exhibit in time for the 50th Anniversary of Operation Homecoming on February 12, 2023 - but we still are $200,000 short of our funding goal for the cost of the project on this ambitious timeline.

Sixteen POWs from Vietnam Attended the Grand Opening of the Exhibit on February 11, 2023 - 50 years after the beginning of Operation Homecoming.

Time is of the essence.

Our goal was to complete the Hanoi Hilton Exhibit at the American Heritage Museum for public display on February 12, 2023 — the 50th Anniversary of Operation Homecoming, flights that brought our POWs home from Vietnam in 1973.

We are proud to say that we opened the exhibit on February 11th, 2023 with sixteen POWs of the Vietnam War, many of whom were imprisoned at the Hanoi Hilton, in attendance. We made the most important goal… making this exhibit available to the public so that may learn more about what these men went through over 50 years ago. With the youngest POW from Vietnam being 76 years old, we needed to complete this for THEM before the passage of time silences their voices. As the caretakers of their legacy, this exhibit was too important to delay.

Why are we still asking for your help? To complete the construction on such an ambitious timeline to open on the anniversary, the American Heritage Museum redirected funds from other projects to keep progress going. Through the generous support of donors, we have raised $350,000 of the $650,000 cost of the project. We are thankful to our major supporters including a $150,000 grant from the Gerard B. Lambert Foundation and a $150,000 grant from PenFed Credit Union.

Your support is still needed to help us keep the growth of the American Heritage Museum on track by helping us close the $300,000 gap for this exhibit.

You can help us keep the momentum going by donating today. We cannot do it without your help.

We offer various options to donate through the methods outlined below.
